Maxwell served as an editor and secretary for Aerie, University of Hartford's literary magazine from 2007 to 2011. He graduated from Hartford with a BA in English with a focus in creative writing in 2011.
At the University of South Carolina between 2011 and 2013, he worked The Daily Gamecock as a Copy Editor and moved up to Copy Desk Chief. Here is a link to his articles:
He completed his MA (2014) and MFA (2015) at Wilkes University with a focus in fiction and publishing. It was at Wilkes that Maxwell completed his creative thesis, a novel called Dinah, Won't You Blow?
